"I've stayed here 3 or 4 times now when coming to Bend to ski at Mt Bachelor. I have a Ford Transit with a bed and heater but I opt to get a room here to hang and dry gear out after storm days. The couple that runs the place is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The rooms are clean and quiet and the heat cranks! Great value for the money and a 5-10 minute walk down to Silver Moon brewing for tasty beer and live music. Pro tip... if not skiing that day you can reserve a time slot for the hot soak pool at McMenamins Old St. Francis School. $10 for 1 hr but only from 10:30-4:30 for general public."

"I had another hotel in the area cancel on me at the last minute, so when Motel West had one room left when I got there I jumped on it. It was a room with 2 queen beds and it still felt like the place was a good value for me traveling solo. Everything was clean and I was grateful for the coffee maker in the room for the next morning. Good location and perfect for the place to sleep I needed. The innkeeper was very kind."

"My rating is based on expectations for a 2 star motel. A great place to crash and explore Bend. The location is not picturesque but it’s close to downtown, the mill district and the road to Bachelor and beyond. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I had what I needed. My only quibble is that it would take about 3 minutes of running the cold bathroom sink tap to actually get cold water; I assume that the hot line runs right next to it and there is not sufficient pipe insulation. Otherwise it was good: Warm shower and comfortable bed and pillows. I also appreciated that the bedspread was not the typical gross synthetic fabric you see at motels; it was a nice cottony quilt. I will definitely stay again."

💵 Refundable Damage Deposit:

A damage deposit of US$50 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full in cash, subject to an inspection of the property.
